Animal Adoption

Our chief concern at Leitrim Animal Welfare is that dogs/cats should go to permanent homes where they will be happy and well cared for, for the rest of their lives. All the dogs/cats are here because their owners couldn't, or more often wouldn't, care for them. We hope to match each dog/cat to a suitable owner. Our first duty is to the animal and to see that it doesn't have another terrible experience. In order to ensure this, we require all prospective owners to answer the following questions and ask them to give as much information as possible before selecting a dog/cat.

Please note:

You must provide confirmation of your name and address. If you live in council or rented property, written permission from the council or owner may be required. The dogs/cats are the property of Leitrim Animal Welfare and are rehomed at our discretion. Leitrim Animal Welfare can refuse to rehome a dog/cat without giving a reason and cannot accept responsibility for the temperament or behaviour of any dog/cat after rehoming. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat from Leitrim Animal Welfare Centre, please complete the Online Adoption Form to get the process started.
